Burrito Factory

The Burrito Factory interface showing production stats, actions, and upgrade cards

This is kind of just a tech demo... I mean you can play it and it will definitely give you dopamine (maybe).

What it is, it's a retained mode UI stack (Gasp) thats right, I think retained mode is the best UI stack. Its because when all is said and done immediate mode is like a weird janky wrapper around retained mode anyway - you have to store per widget state like the timestamp of when a button was last clicked / hovered for example.

Might as well be explicit about it. OOP isn't bad for OOP shaped problems, just for game logic. :)

The repo is public if you want to see the code

Power Diagram

A colorful weighted Voronoi diagram beside controls for its sites and weights

Power-law power diagram. Idk exactly but, voronoi cells can have weight, if you use a square distance they still have straight edges looking kind of like a normal voronoi diagram. They can swallow weak sites. In this one the weights are given by a power law distribution.

A power law distribution is fascinating - for certain values of alpha it has no mean or no variance. This is kind of like saying that there is no sensible interpretation of the 'mean' net worth individual.
